Black Diamond Police Reports 10-12 to 18, 2020

On 10/12/2020, at about 2307 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 31100 block of 3rd AVE regarding a subject going through the trash can of a business. Officers arrived and contacted a male subject. The subject was playing Pokemon Go on his phone. The subject admitted to going through the trash as he often does to look for interesting items others throw away. Officers checked the business and found it to be secure with no damages.

On 10/13/2020, at about 0023 hours, an Officer conducted a traffic stop at State Route 169/Pass Rd on a vehicle that was driving with its passenger front tire blown out. The subsequent investigation determined that the subject was not DUI but was a missing person from Tacoma. It was also learned that the subject was involved in a collision at an unknown location. The subject was found to be suffering from a medical condition and was transported to the hospital by Tri Med.

On 10/13/2020 an officer was contacted by a citizen at the Black Diamond Police Department with a found wallet. The wallet was entered into evidence with attempts being made to contact the owner.

On 10/13/2020 officers were dispatched to a dispute in the 23300 block of SE 289th Street. The reporting party advised her new boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend had come to her residence for a short time and was refusing to leave. The girlfriend was gone on arrival, and was later contacted by phone to request she not return to the address. No criminal activity during this incident.

On 10-14-2020, at approximately 2057 hours, officers responded to the 100 block of Roosevelt AVE E in Enumclaw to provide backing officers for a report of a fight and collision in the area. Backing officers were provided without incident and officers cleared the call.

On 10-14-2020, at approximately 2120 hours, officers responded to the area of Baker ST and 4th AVE regarding a possibly intoxicated driver in a vehicle. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver was not under the influence of liquor and/or drugs. The driver was released and the officers cleared the call without incident.

On 10-15-2020, at approximately 0320 hours, officers contacted a subject near the intersection of 3rd AVE and Roberts DR that was not wearing pants. After determining that the subject was not in need of mental or medical assistance, officers located pants for him and provided him a ride to a bus stop. Officers cleared the call without incident.

On 10-16-2020, at approximately 0428 hours, officers were dispatched regarding a suspicious vehicle near the 25300 block of Cumberland PL. A subject reportedly parked and walked down the trail to the retention pond. The vehicle was parked legally and officers were unable to locate the subject. Officers cleared the call without incident.

On Friday, 10/16/2020, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 31100 block of 3rd AVE in regard to a request for citizen assistance in a civil matter. Upon arrival, it was discovered that one of the parties involved was the subject of an arrest warrant. The subject was detained, and later released at the request of the originating agency.

On 10/16/2020, a Black Diamond Officer was contacted by the King County Sheriff’s Office to confirm a warrant. The warrant was confirmed the Black Diamond Officer met with KCSO and took the subject into custody. The subject was booked into the Enumclaw Jail.

On 10/18/2020, at about 2300 hours, Black Diamond Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 25100 block of Roberts DR. The subsequent investigation determined that the driver was DUI. He was arrested and booked into The Issaquah Jail and the vehicle was impounded.
