Black Diamond Police Reports 10-20 to 24-2020

On 10-20-2020, at approximately 06:43 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a partially blocking vehicle at Ten Trails PKWY SE and SE Dogwood ST. Officers arrived and located the vehicle that was blocking the southbound lane of Ten Trails PKWY SE. Royal Towing arrived at the scene and impounded the vehicle.

On 10/20/2020, at approximately 0935 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department responded to an OSA at 133 3rd Ave in Pacific, Washington. This assistance was related to the Major Crimes Task Force with the Coalition of Small Police Agencies in King County.

On 10/20/2020 an officer was requested to contact three juveniles riding bikes in the Ten Trails Park at Hemlock AVE SE and SE ASH ST. It was reported the juveniles were cursing at adults in the park, and riding their bikes on the basketball court leaving marks on the ground. The juveniles were contacted and trespassed from Ten Trails property at the request of the HOA Property Manager

On 10/20/2020 an officer was dispatched to a recklessly driven vehicle in the area of the 33100 block of Glacier AVE SE. A black Honda Accord was speeding through the neighborhood and nearly struck the reporting party’s six year-old daughter who was playing in the street. The officer was able to contact the registered owner who is assisting in identifying who was driving her vehicle at the time. This case is under investigation.

On 10/21/2020 an officer was dispatched to the 32400 block of Newcastle DR for a loud noise complaint. A resident in the area was working on a loud motorcycle and making excessive noise. Contact was made and a warning issued for violation of the Municipal Code.

On 10-21-2020, at approximately 2124 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speed violation. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver was a juvenile that had no license or ID. The driver’s family was contacted for pick up and the vehicle was impounded. Charges were forwarded to the juvenile courts.

On 10-23-2020, at approximately 0114 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop on a driver known suspected of having a suspended driving status as well as possible stealing from nearby construction sites. The driver was detained, cited for DWLS 3rd degree, and released. The vehicle was impounded and officers cleared the call without incident.

On 10/23/2020, an officer responded to the 25500 block of Lawson St for a report of a suspicious circumstance. The reporting party had found concerning messages on a chat forum on her juvenile son’s computer. The computer was taken as evidence and the investigation into the messages is ongoing.

On 10/23/2020, an officer responded with the Fire Department to the 23200 block of SE 312 St for a report of a recreational fire in a park. The officer contacted the subjects and informed them of the ban on fires. The subjects put the fire out.

On 10-24-2020, at approximately 1704 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in the 32900 block of Abrams AVE. It was reported that a passerby observed multiple subjects inside of a vehicle. Officers responded to the scene and contacted the subjects and asked what they were doing. The subjects advised they were playing Pokemon Go. Officers cleared the scene.
