Black Diamond Police Reports 11-9 to 11-15, 2020

On Monday, 11/09/2020, Officers responded to a business in the 2400 block of Griffin AVE to assist Enumclaw Police Department Officers in regard to a report of an individual swinging a shovel at vehicles. Upon arrival, Officers were advised that the suspect had been located and taken into custody after a taser deployment.

On Monday, 11/09/2020, Officers were dispatched to a request to contact a citizen at the Black Diamond Police Department regarding the purchase of a vehicle. Officers were able to determine that no crime had been committed, and that the matter was civil in nature. They provided advice on resolving the issue with the Washington State Department of Licensing.

On 11/12/2020 officers were dispatched to the apartment complex under construction in the Ten Trails Development for CPR in progress. Upon arrival officers found a male subject unconscious and not breathing. The Fire Department arrived and worked on reviving the patient until Medics declared him deceased. Investigation into the matter determined no foul play. The King County Medical Examiners Office released custody of the body to a local funeral home.

On 11/12/2020 an officer was flagged down in the 32300 block of Botts Drive for a report of a lost hiker. The officer assisted the subject in finding their family member who had lost their way hiking to the Franklin ghost town.

On 11/12/2020 an officer on-viewed a two car motor vehicle collision in the 29600 block of 224th AVE SE. The at-fault driver was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and was arrested. The suspect’s vehicle was impounded to Royal Towing, and the suspect was booked into the Enumclaw Jail for DUI.

On 11/13/2020, at about 2207 hours, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 25400 block of Kanasket DR in regard to a noise/party complaint. It was also advised that they had a camp fire going. Officers contacted the residents outside and advised them of the reason for the contact. The owner of the residence advised that he would end the party. Officers cleared the call without incident.

On Saturday, 11/14/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 30200 block of 224th AVE SE in regard to a report of an abandoned boat and trailer. The vehicle was parked off the roadway, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the owner, in order to have it removed from the scene.

On 11/15/2020, at approximately 1820 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department responded to a civil stand by at 23700 block of SE Adams St. Contact was made with the complainant and a Black Diamond Officer stood by as he retrieved personal belongings from his residence. The stand by lasted approximately 10 minutes and no problems occurred black
