Black Diamond Reports 11-16 to 11-21-2020

On Monday, 11/16/2020, Officers were dispatched to the Lake Sawyer Boat Launch Park in regard to a report of an individual that had set up a tent in the park. Officers contacted the individual and advised them of park rules prohibiting camping and the individual agreed to leave the area.

On Monday, 11/16/2020, Officers were contacted by the victim of a fraud in which an unreported stolen vehicle was sold to them. Arrangements were made to return the vehicle to it’s owner, and an investigation is currently ongoing to determine possible suspect identity.

On 11/17/2020 an officer conducted a traffic stop at the Chevron gas station on 216th AVE SE and SE Kent Kangley RD. The driver was found to be driving with a suspended license, and he had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Pierce County Sheriffs Department for DWLS 3rd degree. The driver was cited and released from the scene, and a licensed driver arrived to take custody of the

On 11-19-2020, at approximately 10:53 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a road hazard. Officers were informed that an unknown make and model truck tractor towing a flatbed trailer was driving east on SE 288th ST and struck a low hanging Xfinity cable wire that ran from aresidence in the 22900 block of SE 288th ST to a pole on the north side of the road.  The wire was pulled approximately six feet down which caused a road hazard to vehicles traveling east and west on SE 288th ST. Officers arrived and located the low hanging cable wire. An Xfinity employee arrived a few minutes later an tightened up the cable wire.

On 11-20-2020, at approximately 2017 hours, officers were dispatched to the 30400 block of Blaine AVE regarding a suspicious vehicle that was driving around with its alarm going off. When officers arrived, they determined that the subject driving had no license and there was no crime otherwise. A licenses driver was called to the scene to transport the vehicle and officers cleared the call without incident.

On 11-21-2020, at approximately 2222 hours, officers were dispatched to the 29000 block of 216th AVE SE regarding a suspicious subject and vehicle in the parking lot of a business. The business wanted the subject trespassed. Officers contacted the subject and issued him a trespass notice. Officers cleared the call without incident.

On 11/21/2020, an officer responded to the 32200 block of SE Mountain View DR for a complaint of quads driving on private property. The officer was unable to locate the riders but contacted someone who knew them and requested they have the riders return and not ride on the property they were on. The reporting party wished to be anonymous.

On 11/21/2020, an officer responded to the 31500 block of 3rd Ave for a report of gravel spilled on the roadway. The officer put out caution signs and requested Black Diamond Public Works respond to clear the roadway. When Public Works arrived the officer blocked the road and assisted with clearing the gravel.
