Black Diamond Police Reports Feb. 8 to 21, 2021

On 02/08/2021, Officers took a phone report of a burglary at a construction site in the 22800 block SE Fir St. The reporting party stated that there was no surveillance video or suspect information. Pending the development of suspect information, the case is being placed on inactive status.

On 02/10/2021, officers were dispatched to a residence near the 32900 block of Ten Trails PKWY regarding a package theft from a residence. Officers recovered video footage from the incident. Officers cleared the call without incident. There is no known suspect.

On 02-11-21, at approximately 10:50 hours, Officers stopped a vehicle on the SE Covington Sawyer RD because the rear license plate belonged on a different vehicle. Officers issued the driver a criminal citation for driving while license suspended third degree and a notice of infraction for improper license plates on vehicle, no insurance and expired license tabs. Officers seized the rear license plate and the driver was released at the scene.

On 02-12-21, at approximately 06:20 hours, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 31500 block of 3rd AVE for speeding. The driver provided Officers with a driver’s license belonging to another person.  Officers issued the driver a criminal citation for possession of another’s identification and driving while license suspended third degree. The driver was also issued a notice of infraction for speeding, no insurance and for defective tail lights. The driver was then released at the scene.

On 02/12/2021, Officers were dispatched to a commercial building in the 31500 block of 3rd AVE in regard to a report of a burglary that had occurred overnight. The scene was processed and an investigation in ongoing.

On 02/15/2021, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 32800 block of Railroad AVE for a speed violation. The driver was cited for several violations and a criminal traffic charge and released at the scene.

On 2/16/2021, an officer conducted a traffic stop on Baker Street at 4th Avenue. The driver was found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license. He was issued a criminal citation and the vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

On 2/16/2021 an officer responded to the 21700 block of SE 290 ST for a report of a subject in his back yard. The reporting party confronted the subject who stated he was trying to get to a nearby location. The officer checked the area for the subject but was unable to locate him.

On 02/16/2021, an Officer responded to the 32500 block of Stuart Ave SE reference a vehicle prowl. Investigation revealed an unlocked vehicle was entered and a garage door opener was stolen.

On 02/20/2021, Officers were dispatched to the 32500 block of Willow AVE for a suspicious vehicle. The complainant reported a vehicle had been parked and running for approximately 30 minutes. It was unknown if anyone was in the vehicle. Before Officers arrived on scene the vehicle left.

On 02/20/2021, an Officer responded to SE Stevens St and Willow Ave SE reference a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, it was found that two teenage females were in the vehicle talking and that one of the occupants lives in Ten Trails.

On 2/21/2021 an officer conducted a subject stop of a suspicious person on Fairfax ST at Bruckners Way. The subject was found to not have a valid driver’s license and was warned not to drive his vehicle he had parked in the area. Several minutes after clearing the contact, the officer observed the subject driving his vehicle from the area. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was cited for No Valid Operator’s License w/o ID. The vehicle was impounded to Royal Towing. The driver was released from the scene.
