Black Diamond Police Reports 4-19 to 24, 2021

On 4/19/2021, officers responded to the 30600 block of 224 AVE SE for a report of a physical domestic incident. Officers arrived and spoke to all parties. Both parties had assaulted each other. The primary aggressor was arrested and booked into King County Jail for Felony Assault.

On 04-19-21, at approximately 08:00 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a theft of plywood from a house under construction in the 33200 block of Evergreen AVE SE.  Officers arrived at the building site and spoke with the project manager. Officers were informed that sometime over the weekend, a bunk (80 sheets) of plywood was stolen from the job site. The plywood was last seen on the ground in front of the garage door on 04-16-21 at approximately 16:00 hours. There is no suspect information.

On 04/19/21, Officers became aware of a subject who was in-custody at SCORE Jail on another jurisdiction’s charges and he had Black Diamond warrants. The (3) outstanding warrants were confirmed and the subject remained in-custody at SCORE until the next court hearing date.

On 04/19/2021, Officers responded to the 32600 block of Railroad Ave reference to a suspicious person (possible intoxicated). The subject was located and it was determined no crime occurred. The subject was given a ride home by a friend.

On 4/19/2021, an officer responded to the 30400 block of 3rd Ave for a report of a recklessly driven vehicle. The officer checked the area but could not locate the vehicle.

On 4/22/2021, Officers were dispatched to an order violation report. Officers made contact with the reporting party and began their investigation. Probable cause was established for the arrest of the suspect for violation of the no contact order. Officers later met with the suspect, placed him under arrest, and booked him into the Issaquah Jail.

On 4/22/2021 officers were dispatched to a welfare check of an elderly subject at a residence in the 32400 block of Newcastle Drive. The subject’s doctor could not get in touch with him. No one was found at the residence, and phone contact was made with the subject’s son. An address in Covington was identified as the subject’s residence and the Covington Police were requested to check on him.

On 4/22/2021 an officer was dispatched to a fraud report to be handled by phone in the 28800 block of 223rd Lane SE. The victim reported purchasing an Xbox on Offerup and what was delivered instead was a lighter. This case is under investigation.

On 04/23/2021 Officers responded to the 22100 block of SE 288th ST in regard to a report of a single vehicle collision. Officers located a vehicle that had left the roadway and struck a fence. The driver was cited and the vehicle removed from the scene by the owner.

On 4/23/2021, Officers were dispatched to a suspicious subject in the area of Ten Trails PKWY and Roberts DR. Officers made contact with the subject, however, during the contact the subject fled from the scene. Officers did not pursue and later cleared the area.

On 4/23/2021, Officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in the 23100 block of SE Dogwood ST. Officers arrived on scene and located the vehicle. Officers began an investigation which lead to the confirmation that the vehicle was stolen. Officers contacted the registered owner, he requested the vehicle be locked up and left on scene. Officers obliged and cleared the scene.

On 4/24/2021, Officers were dispatched to a signal malfunction at 216th Ave SE and SE 288th Street. A stop sign had been struck and was no longer standing. There were no witness and there was evidence on scene which could aid in identifying a suspect. Officers contacted public works and temporary stop sign was put in place.
