Black Diamond Police Reports May 31 to June 6, 2021

On 5/31/2021, Officers were dispatched to the area of SE Green River Gorge and 290th AVE SE regarding an agency assist to the King County Sheriff’s Ofice. Deputies had located some property that was possibly stolen and wanted Black Diamond Officers to check if it was stolen from Black Diamond. An inquiry of the items showed that they had not been reported stolen. KCSO took custody of the items.

On 06-02-21, at approximately 08:17 hours, Officers were advised by a witness that a vehicle had driven into a PSE power pole just west of 3rd AVE in the 31100 block. Officers located the vehicle and discovered that the male driver had a medical issue and drove his vehicle off the roadway into the pole. Two small children were in the back of the vehicle and they were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. The male driver was taken by ambulance to Auburn Hospital.

On 6/2/2021 an officer received information from a victim of a no-contact order violation investigation (210000470) that new violations had taken place. Two phone calls from an unknown phone number were received by the victim, and when he answered the first call, he recognized the suspect’s voice on the other end of the line. Through investigation it was determined that the suspect had made those phone calls from a hotel in Bellevue, and check-in logs showed the suspect rented a room at that hotel during the times the phone calls were made to the victim.

On 6/3/2021 an officer who was investigating several court order violations, near the 22300 block of SE 290th ST, received information from the victim that the suspect had called his phone and identified herself earlier today. The suspect then sent several text messages to the victim’s phone asking who answered the phone, and requesting that the victim come meet her. The suspect was later arrested outside the city limits.

On 6/3/2021 an officer was dispatched to a threats report in the 31000 block of 3rd Avenue. The victim reported receiving threatening text messages from a subject that he owes money to. The victim decided he did not want to press charges or have the officer contact the subject, and requested a police report be completed to document the incident.

On 6/4/2021, Officers were dispatched to the 31500 block for a suspicious subject who was reportedly selling counterfeit gold to people. Officers responded to the area and were unable to locate the individual described. Officers cleared the scene after an area check was conducted.

On 06/04/2021 Officers were dispatched to the 31200 block of Lake Sawyer RD in regard to an anonymous complaint of loud music in the area. Officers conducted an area check and located a large party with loud music was being held outside of the city limits.

On 06/04/2021, Officers responded to the 25400 block of Kanaskat Dr reference to a noise complaint.  Upon arrival, contact was made with subjects in the area who were having a social get together. The subjects agreed to turn down their music.

On 6/5/2021, Officers were dispatched to a theft in progress in the 24700 block of Mason ST. Officers subsequent investigation revealed the subject was in the process of a divorce and was retrieving personal property. Officers contacted the other party and were advised this was ok as long as it was documented. Officers cleared the scene.

On 6/6/2021, Officers were dispatched to an unwanted subject in the 30800 block of 228th AVE SE. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant who advised officers she does not like her sisters boyfriend coming over every weekend and staying the night. The reporting party’s sister and boyfriend were asleep in the residence at this time. Officers advised the complainant this was a civil issue and cleared the scene.

On 6/6/2021, Officers were dispatched to a suicidal subject in the area of Roberts DR and Ten Trails PKWY SE. Officers contacted the complainant and confirmed the subject was alone and had made no threats towards others. Officers obtained needed information for a safety bulletin. Officers made no attempt to locate or contact the subject, Officers cleared the scene.
