Black Diamond Police News 8-16 to 22, 2021

On 08/16/2021, an Officer was dispatched to the 32900 block of Railroad Ave reference to a welfare check. The subject of the welfare check was found to be in pain and was transported by EMS to the Covington Hospital.

On 08/16/2021, officers were dispatched to a found property call near the 31600 block of 3rd AVE SE. Upon arrival, officers collected the property and later entered it into evidence for safekeeping.

On 8/18/2021, Officers were dispatched to Lake Sawyer regarding a 12-foot aluminum fishing boat that had capsized in the lake. It was reported 

that the three occupants of the boat made it out of the water safely. Officers contacted the occupants who appeared in good health. They did not require medication attention. Mercer Island’s drive team recovered the boat and its property of of the water. The EPA and the Washington Department of Ecology were notified of the incident and they advised that they will not be responding for this incident.

On 8/18/2021, an officer was dispatched to the Lake Sawyer Regional Parking regarding a confused elderly female walking in the area. Just prior to the officers arrival, the female’s son and took his mom home with him. No crime was reported during this incident.

On 08/22/2021, officers responded to the 31100 block of 3rd AVE regarding a hit and run report. The reporting party advised that her vehicle was struck by another vehicle sometime between the previous afternoon and that morning. There is no suspect information in this case.

On 8/22/2021, an officer was patrolling Roberts Drive at Ten Trails Parkway when he found a deer down in the middle of the roadway. The deer had sustained injuries from being hit by a car, but was still alive. The officer dispatched the deer and removed it from the road.

On 08/22/2021, an Officer was dispatched to the 32600 block of Hemlock Ave SE reference to a noise complaint. People were playing basketball in the park. Upon arrival contact was made with the persons in the park and the problem was resolved.
