Black Diamond Police Reports Oct. 22 to 23, 2021

On 10/22/2021, an employee of the City of Black Diamond advised officers that a citizens mailbox had been pried open. Officers made contact with the residents and verified their mailbox had been forced open and mail had been stolen. There is no suspect information or investigative leads at this time.

On 10/22/2021, officers responded to the 24700 block of Mason St for a welfare check. Officers were advised an elderly male had been knocking on doors asking for assistance. Officers contacted the subject and determined he was suffering from mental health issues. The subject was being cared for by a family member who was on location.

On 10/22/2021, an officer on patrol in the 31500 block of Lake Sawyer Road located a reported stolen vehicle in a parking lot. A subject was removing parts from the vehicle when he was contacted. The subject was detained and it was found he had multiple warrants for his arrest. The subject was booked into jail and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

On 10/23/2021 Officers responded to the scene of a single vehicle collision in the 29700 block of 224th AVE SE. Subsequent investigation determined that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was transported to a medical facility for evaluation, and was charged with DUI.

On 10/23/2021, an Officer was dispatched to a parking problem at the 32100 block of Bruckners Way. The Officer answered questions regarding parking in the neighborhood.

On 10/23/2021, an Officer was dispatched to a standby in the 30800 block of 228th Ave SE.  The Officer was present while the complainant checked her home to verify that her husband was not there. The complainant was taking possession of the home per a court order issued by the Superior Court.

On 10/23/2021 Officers were dispatched to a civil standby at the 29000 block of 220th Pl SE. The issue was a landlord tenant dispute and the land lord was informed of the laws and the proper method to handle disputes.

On 10/23/2021, officers responded to the 32200 block of 3rd Ave for a welfare check. A subject was found yelling for help. The subject couldn’t remember his name or where he came from. The subject was identified with a fingerprint scanner and transported to the hospital for evaluation.

On 10/23/2021, officers were dispatched to a loud music complaint near the 32500 block of 3rd AVE. Upon arrival, the subjects were advised of the noise ordinance and the the music was turned down. Officers cleared the call without incident.
