January 17 to 23, 2022

On 01/17/2022 Officers were dispatched to a report by phone of threats received in text messages. Officers contacted the reporting party who advised that they had received threatening text messages but were uncertain if the individual was serious. Officers advised the reporting party to call 911 if the individual showed up, and an investigation is ongoing.

On 01/17/2022 Officers were dispatched to the area of the Enumclaw High School in regard to a request for assistance from the Enumclaw Police Department. Officers assisted in searching the area for theft suspects after one individual was arrested by Enumclaw Officers.

On 1/18/2022 at about 0400 hours, an officer was on routine patrol in the Ten Trails Development and observed an unlicensed and occupied suspicious vehicle that had just backed into the area of Cedar Ave SE and Ash Ave SE and turned off the lights on the running vehicle. The driver was contacted and initially refused to provide ID and claimed to be in the area to pick up a friend and stated the vehicle’s plates had been stolen. After verifying a WA DL for the driver and locating the VIN on the vehicle, it was found the plates had not been reported stolen and had likely been removed by driver for criminal activity he had a history of committing. The driver then claimed that the person he was trying to pick up was now too scared to come out when they saw police. The driver left the neighborhood.

On 1/22/2022, an officer was on patrol in the 25000 block of Franklin Dr and located a reported stolen vehicle. The vehicle was parked and unoccupied. The vehicle’s owner was contacted and responded to take possession of the vehicle.

On 01/22/2022, officers responded to a recently seen stolen vehicle near the area of the 30600 block of 3rd AVE. The reporting party had been tracking a set of keys that had a tracker on them and it indicated that it was in the area. An area check was conducted, but the vehicle was not located.

On 01/23/2022 Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 30700 block of 229th PL SE in regard to a dispute between two persons living there. Officers determined that no crime had been committed and the individuals separated for the remainder of the evening.

On 01/23/2022 Officers were flagged down at a construction site in the 28800 block of SR 169 in regard to a worker suffering a medical emergency. Officers assisted Fire personnel in scene control while the individual was evaluated and transported to a medical facility for evaluation.
