Black Diamond Police Reports 2-15 to 20, 2022

On 02-15-22, at approximately 08:27 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a fraud to be handled by phone. Officers called the reporting person who wanted to report that he responded to an advertisement on Craigslist for a house to rent in the Ten Trails neighborhood. The subject was given a code to a lock box on the exterior of the residence.  The subject obtained the key to the residence, walked through the residence and decided to rent it. The subject put a $500.00 deposit on the residence and later found out that the house was never for rent.

On 02/15/2022, Officers responded to the 22900 block of Poplar Ave SE reference to a reckless driver.  An investigation was conducted and the suspects was cited for reckless driving and refusal to give information to or cooperate with Officer.

On 02/15/2022, officers responded to a call for a suspicious subject near the 33300 Crystal AVE. Reportedly, an unidentified male had contacted a resident at her home and inquired as to whether or not she was home alone with children. The male left without confrontation and officers were unable to locate the male. Officers cleared the call without incident.

On 2/15/2022 Officers responded to assist KCSO on a call of a possible armed subject with possible people injured in the area of 28600 225th AVE SE. BDPD Officers assisted by shutting down access on the east and west ends of SE 288th St. KCSO soon determined that the call was a hoax “SWATTING” call, no one was armed or injured, and Officers cleared the scenes.

On 02/17/2022, an Officer was dispatched to a warrant confirmation at the Black Diamond Police Department. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was booked into the Enumclaw Jail.

On 02/17/22 at about 2200 hours, officers responded to a business in the 32600 block of 3rd AVE for the report of lights being on at the business and that it was not normal at this time of night. Upon arrival all lights to the business were now off and the building was secure. No further action taken.

On 2/19/2022, Officers were dispatched to a verbal domestic in the 26100 block of Old Lawson RD. It was reported there was a dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend regarding property being moved from the residence. Officers arrived on scene and contacted all involved parties. Officers determined no crime had occurred and educated the involved parties on civil standby procedures. Officers provided both parties a domestic violence resource packet and cleared the scene.

On 2/20/2022, an officer received a report of a mail theft that occurred in the 33300 block of Crystal Ave SE. The mail was recovered. There are no suspects and the case has been placed inactive.
