Black Diamond Police News 2-28 to 3-6-2020

On 2/28/2022, officers were dispatched to a non injurey. Tow vehicle collision at 3rd Ave/Jones Lake Road. All involved parties were evaluated by fire personnel and clerred. After speaking with both drivers, officers learned that vehicle 2 was in the northbound lane on 3rd Ave, stopped, and waiting to make a left hand turn. Then vehicle 1 failed to recognize vehicle 2 was stopped and hit the rear of vehicle 2. A notice of infraction was issued to the driver of vehicle 1 for inattentive driving.

On 2/28/2022, officers responded to the 30400 block of Blaine Ave for an ongoing nuisance violation. Officer accompanied City code enforcement personnel to inspect the property and identify additional violations. The property owner was warned, and the code enforcement process is ongoing.

On 03/01/2022 Officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 22800 block of SE Fir ST in regard to a report of a theft from a vehicle. Pending the development of any further suspect information or evidence, this case is being placed on inactive status.

On 03/01/2022, an Officer was dispatched to the 32500 block of Union Dr reference to a suspicious circumstances.  Contact was made with the complainant who advised that she had received a suspicious email. The Officer answered the complainant’s questions.

On 3/2/2022, an officer located an occupied stolen vehicle on SE Fir Street at Ten Trails Parkway SE. The suspect was taken into custody, and the vehicle was returned to the registered owner. The suspect was booked into jail with felony charged to be filed with the King County Prosecutor’s Office.

On 03-02-22, at approximately 07:29 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a suspicious vehicle. Officers were advised that a subject called 911 to report that there was a red vehicle parked at SE Cottonwood ST and Evergreen AVE SE with the hood up no one was inside the vehicle. Officers arrived at the location and were unable to locate the vehicle.

On 03/02/2022, an Officer was dispatched to a theft at the 30600 block of 224th Ave SE. It was found that the catalytic converter to the complainant’s vehicle was stolen.

On 03/02/2022, an Officer was dispatched to the 32700 block of Railroad Ave reference to a vehicle prowl. The complainant’s unlocked vehicle was entered and rummaged through.

On 03/03/2022, an Officer was dispatched to a recovered stolen vehicle at the 31100 block of 3rd Ave.  The vehicle was removed from the WACIC/NCIC system and the owner was notified.

On 03/06/22, officers responded to a complaint of erratic driving S/B on 224th AVE SE.  I found the complained about vehicle and contacted the driver after seeing traffic violations of my own. The driver advised she was having problems with her contact lenses which was causing her driving issues. The driver did not appear to be under the influence and she was warned for her driving.
