Black Diamond Police News March 17 to 25, 2022

On 03-17-22, at approximately 08:09 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a vehicle theft report. Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle in the Cedarbrook Mobile Home Park. The vehicle owner stated that her vehicle had been parked with the doors locked just south of her residence and now it was missing. The vehicle was entered into WACIC/NCIC as stolen.  There is no suspect information.

On 3/17/2022, an officer was contacted at the Black Diamond Police Department by a citizen wishing to surrender two (2) firearms he no longer wished to own. The firearms were taken for destruction.

On 3/17/2022, an officer was dispatched to a paper service in the 24000 block of Dail DR. The officer learned that the subject no longer lives at that address, but they were able to make phone contact. The paper service was completed via email.

On 03-25-22, at approximately 11:04 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding an abandoned vehicle in front of a residence in the 23900 block of Fairfax ST. Officers were informed that the vehicle did not belong to the neighbors. Officers arrived and located a 2008 white Mercedes Benz legally parked. The license plates were current and it was not reported stolen.  The reporting person did not want contact and the Officers cleared the scene.

On 03/25/2021 Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 32500 block of Granite CT in regard to a report of a 911 hang up. Officers contacted the homeowner who reported that a child had made the call accidentally.
