Black Diamond Police News

On 04-26-22, at approximately 10:54 hours, Officers received a call from a subject who wanted to remove his wallet from his vehicle that was located at Royal Towing of Black Diamond. The subject was requesting a civil standby to do this.  Officers arrived at Royal Towing of Black Diamond and stood by while the subject removed his wallet from the vehicle.

On 04-27-22, at approximately 11:38 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding verbal dispute at a residence in the 28900 block of 218th AVE SE. Officers arrived and interviewed a male and female. It was determined that no crime had been committed and the female wanted the male to leave the residence. The male collected his belongings and voluntarily left the residence.  The female stated that she is in the process of obtaining a court order prohibiting her husband from having contact with her.

On 5/3/2022 Officers responded to a report of a recently stolen vehicle located in the 31400 block of 3rd Ave, Black Diamond, WA. The vehicle owner stated that his truck was parked behind a business and a female suspect drove up in a white flatbed truck and a male exited from the passenger seat and got into the driver’s seat of his truck and left in an unknown direction on 3rd Ave.

On 5/3/2022 at about 1833 hours, an Officer was dispatched to a request from Puyallup Jail to verify a BDPD warrant. A check of BDPD records showed that the subject no longer had any active warrants with BDP. Puyallup jail was then advised.

On 05-04-22, at approximately 12:46 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a marine complaint. Officers were informed that a subject called 911 to report that a subject was speeding on Lake Sawyer one hour and fifteen minutes before the speeding hours were to begin. Officers arrived at the Lakeland found no jet ski on the lake.

On 05/06/2022 an Officer was dispatched to a disabled vehicle that was partially blocking the roadway at the 32900 block of Jones Lake Road. The Officer stayed with the vehicle and driver until a tow truck responded.

On 05/06/2022, Officers responded to the 28900 block of 218th Ave SE reference to an order violation. Statement was obtained from the complainant/victim and the case will be referred to the Black Diamond Prosecutor for review.

On 5/8/2022, Officers were conducting routine patrol and discovered a blocking disabled vehicle at 3rd AVE and Roberts DR. Officers identified the driver and assisted in moving the vehicle to a safe location off of the roadway. Officers cleared the scene.

On 5/8/22 at about 1246 hours, Officers responded to a report of an assault in the 32800 block of Ten Trails Parkway, Black Diamond, WA. After investigation, one subject was arrested for two counts of misdemeanor assault and booked into jail.

On 05/08/22, Officers were dispatched to a noise complaint in the 33400 block of Three Lakes LN regarding the sound of an echoing noise from a bouncing basketball resonating throughout the neighborhood. Officers made contact with an individual in the basketball court and advised him someone had called and complained about the noise from his basketball. The subject immediately stopped and advised he would leave the basketball court.

On 5/8/2022, officers responded to a residence in the 32900 block of Pacific Avenue for an unknown type medical alarm. Contact was made with the homeowner prior to the Fire Department arriving. The alarm was set off by mistake and no assistance was needed.
