Black Diamond Police Reports

On 12/30/2022 at approximately 10:20 hours, Officers were notified by phone that a subject’s lock had been destroyed at their storage unit at the 30400 block of 3rd AVE. Officers contacted the reporting party by phone and conducted an interview. This case is currently under investigation.

On 01/09/2023, A found wallet was dropped off at the Black Diamond Police Department. Officers input the found wallet into evidence for safe keeping

On 01/10/2023, an Officer was dispatched to a physical fight at the 23000 block of Se Evergreen St. Complainant advised dispatch that there were four males in the street fighting. Upon arrival, it was determined to be a verbal dispute and the subjects agreed to leave the area.

On 01/10/2023, Officers were dispatched to a fraud that occurred at 22800 block of SE Fir ST. Officers contacted the reporting party by phone, and conducted an interview. This case is currently under active investigation.

On 1/10/2023, an officer on patrol in the 30300 block of the Maple Valley Black Diamond Road located an unoccupied reported stolen vehicle. As the vehicle was outside city limits the vehicle was recovered by the King County Sheriff’s Office.

On 01/11/2023 at approximately 16:10 hours, Officers were dispatched to a non injury blocking accident that occurred at the 34000 block of Enumclaw Black Diamond RD SE. Officers arrived on scene and observed a truck and trailer that collided with the guard rail on the west side of the roadway, blocking south bound traffic. Officers provided traffic control, and offered to call medical aid for the driver of the truck. The driver denied any medical assistance. The trailer was towed from the scene and the truck was able to safely leave the roadway.

On 01-13-23, at approximately 13:31 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a theft of a tow dolly. Officers contacted the reporting person who stated that sometime between 17:00 hours on 01-12-23, and 12:00 hours on 01-13-23. The owner did not know the make, model or serial number for the tow dolly. There is no suspect information at this time.

On 01/14/2023, Officers responded to the 31300 block of 3rd Ave reference to an unwanted subject. Complainant advised that there was a red pickup at that location for two hours and the occupant was acting suspicious. Officer’s responded and the vehicle was seen leaving the area. The area was checked and no signs of criminal activity were discovered.

On 1/13/2023, officers responded to the 22800 block of SE Fir St. for a paper service. The officers served a protection order on a subject.

On 1/14/2023 Officers were dispatched to assist the fire department at Lake Sawyer Regional Park, located at 31500 Lake Sawyer Rd. SE. FD advised they needed assistance opening a gate that led to the park, so that they could get their equipment to a person who was reporting a need medical assistance out on a trail. An officer unlocked the gate and then resecured the gate once the incident concluded.

On 1/14/2023 Officers were dispatched to a request for a phone call. A citizen had questions about an ongoing issue with his neighbor’s loud exhaust on his vehicle and wanted to discuss the issues with an officer. The citizen’s questions were answered and he advised he would call back when the disturbance occurred again.

On 01/17/2023, Officers were contacted by phone by a concerned citizen that was worried about her grandson’s mental state. The citizen’s Grandson lives in Enumclaw, and she advised that he was involved in an incident with the Enumclaw police department. Officers referred the citizen to contact Enumclaw PD directly for information. Officers provided the citizen with their phone number.

On 01/17/2023 Officers were dispatched to a phone report regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in the 23400 block of SE Stevens ST. Officers found the vehicle was legally parked and no action was taken at this time.

On 01/17/2023, Officers were dispatched to a theft report at the 23200 block of SE Dogwood ST. Officers contacted the reporting party by phone, and investigated the incident. Officers were unable to obtain any suspect information. Pending further subsequent information, this case is being placed on an inactive status.

On 01/17/2023, A subject dropped off a found wallet. Officers collected the wallet for safekeeping. While processing evidence for the incident. A phone inside of the wallet continued to ring. Officers answered the phone, and told the owner of the phone to pick up their phone at the police station. Officers met with the owner of the wallet, identified them by DOL photo, and returned their found property.

On 1/17/2023 Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious person in the 29600 block of 232nd Ave SE. A caller advised they had seen someone with a flashlight walking in their yard. Officers responded to the location and checked the yard and surrounding area and no subjects were located. Officers then conducted extra patrol throughout the area.

On 01/17/23 Officers responded to the 30200 block of 224th Ave SE in reference to a citizen assist. It was requested Officers stand by while a citizen loaded her belongings and left her residence. The call was cleared without further incident.

On 01-19-23, at approximately 07:54 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding an attempted vehicle theft in the 23800 block of Fairfax ST.  Officers were advised that the father of the vehicle owner called 911 to report that he heard the vehicle alarm going off and when he went outside, he noticed the driver’s side door open and a gray colored Ford Mustang leaving the scene at a high rate of speed. Officers arrived at the scene and found that someone punched out the driver’s side door lock in an attempt to steal the vehicle.  No items were missing from the vehicle.
