Black Diamond Police Reports

On 03/05/2023, Officers were dispatched to assist the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office regarding a stolen vehicle that was recently seen at the 31200 block of 3RD AVE. Officers conducted an area check with negative results. Officers interviewed witnesses and provided the Snohomish County Sheriffs Office with all available information.

On 03/05/2023, officers were dispatched to theft that occurred at the 23300 block of Sunny LN. Officers investigated and documented all evidence related to this incident.

On 03/05/2023, officers were dispatched to a recent business burglary that occurred at the 30700 block of 3RD AVE. Officers cleared the building and found no evidence of any criminal activity. The owner of the business advised officers that surveillance footage from inside of the building captured a female entering the building. After reviewing video footage, the owner believes that the female entered the business believing it to be open. The owner advised that the door was left unsecured by a co-owner and the open sign was left not he window. The owner did not require any further police involvement.

On 03/06/2023, officers were dispatched to an unknown injury accident at the 34500 block of Enumclaw Black Diamond RD SE. Officers contacted the individuals involved in the collision, and determined neither party required medical aid. Officers determined the accident occurred outside of Black Diamond city limits, and stood by for Washington State Patrol.

On 03-06-23, at approximately 08:08 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a suicidal subject at Village At Ten Trails apartment complex.  Officers were informed that the suicidal subject’s 

ex-girlfriend called to report that her ex-boyfriend had made threats to commit suicide and he smashed his head with his cell phone causing him to bleed. Officers located the subject who agreed to be transported to Auburn General Hospital for mental health evaluation. The Black Diamond Fire Department transported the subject to the hospital without incident.

On 03/06/2023, officers were dispatched to a reported death that occurred at the 29000 block of SE 229TH AVE SE. Officers investigated the incident and contacted King County Medical examiners to further investigate the incident.

On 3/6/23 an officer received an email advising of a malicious mischief that occurred the previous night in the area of E Fir St. This crime was related to a previous incident the night before, when an officer was conducting patrol in the same area and observed two subjects run away when they observed the patrol car enter the area. The two cases were linked and an investigative case was created.

On 3/7/23 Officers responded to a report of a suicidal subject in the 30400 block of 224th Ave SE. A caller advised a person at the location was possibly overdosing and had made suicidal statements. Once the officer arrived at the scene and spoke with the person they were then transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.

On 3/7/2023 Officers were dispatched to a report of shooting with the caller stating that they had shot a family member and were about to shoot themselves. The address given was in the 33100 block of Holly Ave SE but the caller claimed they were on the 10th floor. There are no residences or structures with 10 floors within Black Diamond. The phone number the subject called 911 from was an out of state number created via an internet service provider. Officers responded to the address given and spoke with a single occupant who confirmed the call had not come from their home. Officers cleared the call as unfounded.

On 03/08/2023 at approximately 00:12 hours, Officers were dispatched to call a reporting party by phone in reference of a potential No-Contact Order violation. Officers found that an order violation did not occur. Officers provided resources regarding protection orders to the reporting party.

On 03/08/2023 at approximately 16:00 hours, Officers received a report via phone regarding a potential burglary in the 30400 block of 3rd AVE. This is currently under investigating.

On 03/08/2023 at approximately 21:01 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 32200 block of SE Mountain View DR in reference to an unwanted subject. Officers determined the vehicle was a delivery driver with the incorrect delivery address. Officer found the vehicle was stuck due to the mud. The driver recovered their vehicle with the aid of their friend. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 03/10/2023 Officers were flagged down at the 23800 block of SE 288TH ST by a subject who was in a non injury non blocking accident with another vehicle. Officers contacted the subjects, and determined that they did not need medical aid, but did require a tow. Officers called for a tow for the subject. Officers determined that the accident occurred in the city limits of Maple Valley, notified Maple Valley deputies and cleared the scene.

On 03/10/2023, officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint that occurred at the 22400 block of Roberts DR. The reporting party advised officers of a King County public works vehicle closely following behind them and “flipping them off”. The reporting party was unable to provide a license plate of the vehicle. Officers conducted an area check with negative results.

On 3/10/2023 at approximately 20:21 hours, Officer received a dispatched call in the 28800 block of 224th AVE SE regarding a suspicious vehicle. Officers determined there was no criminal activity present. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 03/11/2023, officers were contacted by phone, to respond to a parking complaint at the 31000 block of 229TH AVE SE. As officers arrived on scene, the vehicle in question was leaving the area. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 03/11/2023, Officers were flagged down at the 15200 block of Regency St regarding recent theft of a gas powered generator. This case is currently under investigation.

On 3/11/23 Officers responded to a report of a noise complaint in the 32000 block of 3rd. A citizen stated that music from a party being held at nearby building was too loud. An officer went to the location and noted the music was not too loud but spoke with attendees who stated they would turn down the music to try and appease the disgruntled neighbor. The officer then went to the citizen’s location and advised of the results.

On 03/11/2023, an Officer was dispatched to the 22800 block of SE Fir St reference to an extra patrol. The caller requested more Officer presence dut to recent vehicle prowls. The Officer responded and conducted a check of the area.

On 03/12/2023, an Officer was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at the 23400 block of Tahoma Pl.  Complainant advised that there was an occupied vehicle at the above listed location that seemed suspicious. Upon arrival, the Officer contacted the person in the vehicle and found that he lived in Ten Trails and was just talking on the telephone.
