Black Diamond Police Reports

On 03-15-23, at approximately 06:24 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a suspicious circumstance. Officers were informed that a female called to report that she could smell a strong odor of gasoline near her garage. The Fire Department arrived and found that a pressure washer was leaking gasoline from inside the garage.

On 03-16-23, at approximately 08:48 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding an suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Imagine Church.  Officers located the vehicle in the church parking lot and made contact with the female driver. The driver ran out of gas and another citizen was purchasing some gas from the Cenex Gas Station to help her. After the subject put gas in her vehicle, she drove away from the scene.

On 03/16/2023 at approximately 12:26 hours, Officers received a dispatched call in the 25000 block of Steiert ST regarding a verbal dispute. The caller was a city employee who got into an argument with the homeowner of the residence. All parties had a disagreement of the work being done on the residence. Officers determined no crime occurred. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 3/17/2023, an officer was dispatched for an unwanted subject in the 25600 block of Lawson St. The officer determined the subject was in the area so their child could play on a playset. The officer gave the subject directions to a larger public playset nearby.

On 3/17/2023, officers responded to the 29200 block of 216 AVE SE for a collision. The officers conducted an investigation and one driver was cited for failure to yield.

On 03/18/2023, an Officer self dispatched himself to a suspicious person at the 27300 block of 216th Ave SE in Maple Valley. The Officer observed a male laying face down in the dirt on the side of the roadway at that location. It was determined that the subject was intoxicated and after being checked out by Fire, he was cleared and was driven home by family friends.

On 03/18/2023 officers were dispatched to take a malicious mischief report at the 22800 block of SE Fir ST. Officers interviewed the victim, and are currently investigating the case.

On 03/19/2023 officers were dispatched to a physical domestic in progress at the 22400 block of SE 300TH ST. Officers separated the parties involved. After investigating the incident, officers established probable cause for the crime of domestic violence assault in the 4th degree. Officers transported the suspect to Enumclaw jail for booking.

On 3/19/23 Enumclaw Police requested Black Diamond officers respond priority to assist them with a call involving a subject who recently committed felony assault, strangualtion and also had multiple warrants. 

The subject fled from Enumclaw officers on foot, just before Black Diamond officers arrived. A Black Diamond officer advised they heard the subject nearby and a foot pursuit began again, with the subject now having stripped down to only underwear and socks. The subject ran into a nearby wooded area and officers held the perimeter until a K-9 officer arrived and began tracking. The K-9 tracked for over an hour but did not locate the subject. EPD later advised that assisting units could clear from the call and they ended the search.

On 03/19/2023, an Officer was dispatched to the 33400 block of Three Lakes Ln reference top a CPR in progress call. A one year old child was at that location and was not breathing. Upon arrival, Fire Unit 398 was already on scene. The child was awake and crying and Fire staff advised that the child had a seizure and they were going to transport the child to the Hospital for further evaluation.

On 03/20/2023, an Officer contacted a suspicious person at the 30400 block of 3rd Ave. The suspect was identified and released

On 03/20/2023 Officers were dispatched to respond to a subject that was sleeping outside of a business at the 25600 block of Lawson St. The reporting party asked officers to ask the subject to leave. As officers arrived the subject was leaving the scene.

On 3/20/2023 A city employee requested Black Diamond Police Officers do a civil stand-by as he conducted business in the 25000 block of Steiert St. Officers stood by and the employee concluded his task without incident.

On 03/21/2023 at approximately 13:38 hours, Officers received an in-person report at the Black Diamond Police Department regarding a fraud that occurred. This investigation is placed on an inactive status until further information develops.
