Black Diamond Police News May 8 to 18

On 05/08/2023 Officers contacted an individual in the 22800 block of SE Fir ST who wanted to report that their vehicle had been broken into and several items had been taken. Pending the development of any suspect information, the case is being placed on inactive status.

ON 05/08/2023 Officers contacted a vehicle in the 23300 block of SE Fir ST. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and Officers identified the driver and issued a criminal citation via mail.

On 5/8/2023, an officer received a phone report of a bicycle that was stolen from the 22800 block of SE Fir St. The investigation is ongoing.

On 05/08/2023 Officers were dispatched to the 31100 block of 3rd AVE in regard to a request for assistance in obtaining identification of an individual so a business could release personal property. Officers were able to identify the individual.

On 5/8/2023, officers responded to the 32600 block of 5th Ave for a report of a possible transient camp in the woods. The officers checked the area and found it was likely the result of kids playing and not a camp.

On 05/09/2023, officers were dispatched to a domestic report that occurred at the 32200 block of 5th AVE. Officers have investigated this incident and have forwarded this case to prosecutors for review.

On 5/11/23 Officers were dispatched to a 911 hang-up call in the 23500 block of SE Logan St. An officer contacted a citizen who advised the call had been accidental when trying to disarm a new alarm system in a home currently still being built and she thought that she hung up quick enough to prevent police from being dispatched. The call was cleared without incident.

On 05/12/2023 an officer located a damaged gate from a motorcycle collision which was not reported, in the 33500 block of Ten Trails Pkwy SE. A report was completed and the hit and run collision is under investigation.

On 05/12/2023, Officers conducted a walk through of a vacant residence upon request of a commercial business. Officers checked the vacant residence and found negative results. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 05/17/2023, Officer received a dispatched call regarding an administrative detail with King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) regarding a warrant subject. Officers were informed the subject was not in custody and were just seeking warrant details. Officers provided KSCO with confirmation and booking details

On 5/17/23 officers were dispatched to a welfare concern in the 31100 block of 3rd Ave. A neighbor called to advise a female was yelling at passerby’s and making them feel uncomfortable. Officers contacted a female who was hostile and yelling from a porch. The female would then retreat in the home and slam the door. Contact was made with the person’s family member who advised she was on medication that causes the behavior and that they would work to get the situation calmed down.

On 05/18/2023 at approximately 11:41 hours, Officers were dispatched to an agency assist at the 31000 block of 229th AVE SE. Officers provided support while King County Sheriff’s Office to served paperwork to a resident of the address. Officers cleared the scene without incident.
