Black Diamond Police Reports

10/11/2023, an officer received a report of an order violation that occurred by mail in the 22300 block of SE 290 ST. The suspect is already in custody and was cited.

10/11/2023 at approximately 2240 hours, an officer observed a garage open at a newly completed construction home. Upon checking the residence it was confirmed to be unoccupied and unlocked. The residence was cleared and secured without issue. No evidence of a crime was located.

10/11/2023, Officers were dispatched to the 31500 block of 3rd AVE regarding a 911 hang up. Upon arrival, Officers contacted two subjects who were unaware of anyone that called 911. There were no other subjects in the area. Officers determined no crime occurred and cleared the scene without incident.

10/12/2023, officers responded to the 31200 block of 3rd Ave for a report of an assault. The involved parties had contradictory stories and there were no independent witnesses. The case was forwarded to the prosecutor for review and possible filing of charges.

10/12/2023 Officers were dispatched to the 31500 block of 3rd AVE in regard to a report of a suspicious person in the area. Officers contacted an individual matching the description given, and determined that no crime had occurred. The subject left the location on foot.

10/12/2023, an officer responded to 2011 Wells St in Enumclaw to assist with unwanted subjects in a residence. The officer assisted Enumclaw Police Department with contacting the subjects and homeowner.

10/12/2023 Officers were dispatched to the 32800 block of 5th AVE in regard to a report of the sound of gunshots. Officers checked the area with nothing found and no further sounds were reported.

10/13/2023 at approximately 0441 hours, officers were dispatched to the 32200 block of Morgan Drive, in reference to a dispute called in by an anonymous third party. Upon arrival it was discovered the dispute was over a phone between a male and female. The male resident stated the female guest gave him the Iphone, however he would give it to her if she wanted it. Officers provided the 

female with the Iphone and she left the location without incident. No other police assistance was requested and no crime was identified.

10/13/2023, Officers were dispatched to suspicious subject in the 30700 block of 3rd AVE. Officers contacted a subject matching the description in the 30400 block of 3rd AVE. The subject was identified and it was determined no crime had occurred. The subject left the area southbound on foot. Officers cleared the scene.

10/13/2023, Officers were dispatched to an unwanted subject in the 31500 block of 3rd AVE. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the subject. He was advised the business owner did not want him on the property. The subject stated he understood and left on foot.

10/13/2023, officers responded to the 25000 block of Morgan St for a report of a dispute over property lines. The officers mediated the dispute and arraigned a temporary settlement until a second property survey can be conducted.

10/15/2023 at approximately 0253 hours, an officer observed an occupied vehicle on unoccupied gravel lot property in the 24300 block of Roberts Drive. Upon contact and approach it was discovered one of the two occupants defecated on the ground leaving their human waste and paper behind. The subject was identified and cleaned up their waste prior to leave the scene.

10/15/2023 Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 22800 block of SE Fir ST in regard to a dispute between two individuals. Officers determined that no crime had occurred and the parties involved had separated.

10/15/2023 Officers were dispatched to a business in the 25600 block of Lawson ST in regard to a report of a suspicious person loitering nearby after hours being seen on remote video. Officers checked the building finding it secure with no one located outside. An employee was contacted who stated that she was unaware of anyone attempting entry.

10-15-23, at approximately 19:43 hours, Officers arrived at the Regional Justice Center in Kent, Washington to take a subject being released into custody. Officers transported the subject to SCORE jail where he was booked on his warrants.

10/16/2023, Officers were dispatched to a residential burglary in progress in the 29200 block of 217th PL SE. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the reporting party. Officers learned no property had been stolen and the unidentified subject appeared to be a transient who had stayed in the building overnight. Officers were unable to locate the subject and cleared the scene.

10/16/2023, officers were dispatched to a physical domestic in progress at the 31000 block of 230th PL SE. Officers responded to the incident, contacted the involved parties and determined that no crime had occurred. Officers provided the subjects with resources and forwarded the case to prosecutors for review.

10/16/2023, officers were advised of a possible trespassing incident at occurred at the 32400 block of 1st AVE. Officers contacted the property owner, and it was determined that there were no unwanted subjects on their property.

10/18/2023, an officer responded to the 32900 block of Cedar Ave SE for a report of a theft. The suspect vehicle was identified, an investigation is ongoing to identify the occupants.

10/18/2023 Officers responded to a welfare check in the 22800 block of SE Fir St. Officers contacted residents at the home who advised that an argument had taken place and one of the residents began to hit himself and another resident had tried to get him to stop. He stopped and then went for a walk to calm down. The residents advised that this is a coping mechanism that this person has always done to themselves and he did not cause himself injury in this incident. The resident involved then returned home and advised that he did not want any help, was not injured, and felt safe at home. All other family members also advised that they felt safe and the incident had been de-escalated. A guide with resources was provided to the family. There was no probable cause that any crimes occurred and a report was made to document the details of the incident.

10/20/2023 Officers were dispatched to the 23200 block of Roberts DR in regard to a report of a recklessly driven vehicle. Officers conducted an area check without finding any vehicles matching the description given.

10/21/2023, officers responded to the 30800 block of Black Diamond Ravensdale Road to assist the King County Sheriff’s Office with contacting a subject who appeared in distress. The officers located the subject who was apparently suffering from mental health issues. The subject was not a danger to themselves or anyone else. The subject refused all offers of assistance and resources from the officers. The subject walked away from the scene.

10/21/2023, officers located a down stop sign in the 21700 block of SE 292 ST. The officers placed a temporary stop sign at the intersection and contacted Black Diamond Public Works to replace the sign.

10/22/23, at approximately 16:31 hours, Officers received notification that there was a suspicious vehicle going through mailboxes at the 31000 block of SE 312th ST. Officers responded and conducted an area check for the vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle or subjects matching the description.
