Carl Richard Sayers Passed Away

Carl Richard Sayers, 84, of Maple Valley/Renton WA, passed away on March 22 2024.

Carl was born on 17 December 1939 to Frank and Olive Sayers in Salem, Oregon. The Family moved to the Pipeline Road in 1941.  After Carl graduated from Tahoma High School in 1958 he went on to work at various jobs, the longest of which was with Rossoe where he delivered heating oil during the winter.  One of his customers was Bill Gates.  During the summer the company would seal roads all over Washington.  He was also involved in roofing homes with his buddy Carl Soderberg.

Carl loved fishing with family and participating in the Cedar River boat races with a couple of his buddies, Larry Johnson and Dale Huselton. 

In High School Carl met Patricia Ashley (Deceased). Carl and Patricia went on to have four children, Bryant, Tawny, Mike, and Carla (Deceased), Carl later married Eva Anderson and they had one son, Terry.  Carl is also survived by his sister, Betty Reeder, and many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as MANY of his “Buddies” from the Valley.  By his side when He left us was Bryant and Tawny and his girlfriend of 18 years, Christie Inman.

When Carl retired, he spent his wintertime in Sun Lakes and Yuma AZ, where he enjoyed playing golf and his summers in the Maple Valley area.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Black Diamond on 29 June 2024 at Black Diamond Eagles. 32618 Railroad Ave, Black Diamond WA.  Celebration will begin at Noon.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests you bring your pictures and memories to the “Celebration of Life.”
