Black Diamond Police Reports

On 01/28/2026, Officers were dispatched to an unwanted at 3rd Ave and Old Lawson Rd. Complainant, who did not wish to be contacted, advised that there appeared to be a homeless camp at the above listed location.  He advised that there were two vehicles one being an RV. Upon arrival, the Officers found a pickup truck and an RV parked on private property which had a fence around it.  Nobody was in the area.

On 01/28/2026 at approximately 1950 hours, officers were dispatched to the 30400 block of 3rd Ave in reference to an erratically driven vehicle. Officers checked the area and did not locate a vehicle matching the description.

On 01/29/2026, an Officer was dispatched to the 31100 block of 3rd Ave regarding an order violation. The complainant advised that her father in law, who she has a protection order against, possible had just come to her home’s front door. The Officer conducted a check and found that her father in law was still incarcerated in Score jail.

On 01/29/2026, an Officer contacted an employee of Lumen regarding a theft that took place in Black Diamond. It was determined that approximately 215 feet of wire was stolen from power lines starting from the 22200 Block of SE 295th Pl. to the 22400 block of SE 296th St.

On 1/29/2026, officers responded to the 32800 block of Madrona Ave SE for a report of a suspicious subject moving Amazon packages. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the subjects. There was no damage visible to the mail boxes. No thefts were reported.

On 1/29/2026, officers responded to the 30400 block of 227 PL. SE for a an assist to the King County Sheriff’s Office. KCSO had probable cause to arrest a subject for felony harassment. Black Diamond Officers assisted while the subject was taken into custody.

On 01-30-26, at approximately 13:19 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding 200 to 300 high school students gathering at the intersection of 29200 216th AVE SE to protest. Officers were informed that the juveniles were impeding traffic, doing donuts in the intersection with their cars and throwing ice at passing vehicles. Officers arrived and cleared the parking lot of the Lake Sawyer Grocery.  Officers then stood by and observed until the protest concluded.

On 01/30/26 at approximately 1650 hours officers were dispatched to the 32000 block of SE Mountain View Dr., in reference to a civil problem of landscapers on the neighbors property. Upon arrival, the landscapers were no longer on scene and no police action was required.

On 01/30/26 at approximately 1725 hours officers were dispatched to the 32000 block 2nd Ave in reference to a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was location in a neighboring jurisdiction and returned to the parents.

On 1/30/2026, an officer responded to the 33300 block of Evergreen Ave SE for a report of loud noises from a park. The officer checked the area and determined there were no violations of the city municipal code.

On 1/30/2026, an officer responded to the 23200 block of Roberts Dr. for a report of a vehicle driving the wrong direction in a roundabout. The vehicle left the city prior to the officer arriving and could not be located.

On 01/31/2026, Officers were dispatched to a suspicious circumstance at Free Up Storage. It was reported two male subjects had entered a building at Free Up Storage, shortly thereafter two plumes of smoke were seen coming from a vent/pipe on the roof, this lead to the belief the individuals may be cooking drugs. Officers checked the identified building and found no signs of criminal activity.

On 01/31/2026, Officers were conducting routine patrol in the 30400 block of 3rd AVE when an unoccupied suspicious vehicle was located. Officers contacted South Sound 911 and requested a Pierce County Deputy contact the registered owner of the vehicle. Officers were advised by a Deputy the vehicle had been sold. Officers later identified the individual who purchased the vehicle as he was removing it from the property.

On 02/01/2026, Officers were dispatched to an injury collision at the intersection of 216th AVE SE and SE 292nd ST. The subsequent investigation revealed vehicle 2 was driving northbound on 216th AVE SE and entering the intersection on a green light. Vehicle 1 was entering the intersection driving westbound on SE 292nd ST. on a red light. Vehicle 2 t-boned vehicle 1, making contact with the driver’s side rear of vehicle 2. Driver 1 was transported by FIRE from the scene to Covington MultiCare. Driver 2 was issued a notice of infraction for violation of RCW 46.61.050.

On 02/01/2026 Officers were dispatched to the 21800 block of SE 296th ST. in regard to a request for a welfare check on an individual walking through the area. Officers contacted the individual and determined that no crime had been committed, and the subject returned home without incident.

On 02-03-26, at approximately 08:02 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a verbal dispute. Officers were informed that a female called 911 to report that she was having a verbal dispute with her husband at her residence in the 24300 of Granite CT.  Officers responded to the residence and determined no evidence of a crime was present and crime was reported. Officers then cleared the scene.

On 2/3/2026, an officer received a theft report in the 29036 216 AVE SE. The suspects were identified and the case was referred to the prosecutor for filing of charges.

On 02-03-26, at approximately 11:18 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a collision at SE Fir ST. and Park Butte LN. Officers arrived at the location and found a Hino box truck that struck a parked Jeep Renegade that was parked on SE Fir ST.  Officers conducted a collision investigation and located the owner of the Jeep and both parties exchanged information.

On 2/3/2026, an officer responded to the 33100 block of Ten Trails Parkway for a report of motorcycles racing in the roadway. The officer checked the area but was unable to locate the motorcycles.

On 02-04-26, at approximately 11:07 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a suspicious circumstance at the Lake Sawyer Boat Launch.  Officers were informed that a subject called 911 to report that three juvenile’s were smoking Marijuana and then drove away in three separate vehicles.  The caller did not have a description of any of the vehicles. Officers conducted and area check with negative results.

On 02/07/2026, Officers were dispatched to a physical domestic in the 22800 block of SE Fir ST. Officers were able to make contact with one of the involved parties who denied anything physical had occurred. The other involved party refused to exit the residence and officers were unable to verify their identity due to both subjects being uncooperative. Officers left a domestic violence resource guide with the female subject and cleared the scene.

On 02/07/2026, Officers were dispatched to an injury collision in the 21900 block of SE 296th ST. The subsequent investigation revealed the at fault vehicle had run a red light and struck another vehicle which was making a left hand turn under the protection of a signaled green arrow. One driver was transported from the scene by Tri-Med to Covington MultiCare for further medical treatment. Officers issued the at fault driver a notice of infraction for violation of RCW 46.61.050.
