Black Diamond Police Reports 9-22-19 to 9-29-19

On Sunday, 9/22/19, at about 0201 hours, an Officer observed two females walking northbound in the 30500 block of 3rd AVE. The females were walking close to the road way with their backs to vehicular traffic. The officer contacted the females, who were intoxicated. They identified themselves as residents of Black Diamond. The officer provided the females a courtesy transport to the Morgan Creek development.

On Sunday, 09/22/2019, Officers assisted King County Sheriff’s Deputies with the recovery of items that apparently had been taken from a construction site in the Ten Trails Development. The items had not been reported stolen, and were returned to the sales office.

On Sunday, 9/22/19, at about 1805 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to meet with a King County Sheriff’s Deputy (KCSO) regarding a subject who a had Black Diamond Warrant. The deputy booked the subject into the Score Jail. Shortly after, the subject was transported by a Black Diamond Officer and he was booked into the Enumclaw Jail without incident.

On 09-22-2019, at approximately 2154 hours, officers responded to the 1600 block of Griffin AVE to back Enucmlaw Police Department on a possible threats with a firearm call. Officers responded and aided in detaining the subject. The firearm was not found on the suspect and officers conducted an area check in an attempt to locate it with negative results. The subject was arrested and officers returned to the city without incident.

On 9/23/19 an officer responded to the 29000 block of 218 AVE for a vehicle prowl report. The officer recovered evidentiary items from the car that are being sent for fingerprinting.

On 09/24/19, an officer responded to the 32100 block of 3rd Avenue to a burglary that had just occurred.  The officer checked the area but was unable to locate the suspect vehicle. An investigation is underway.

On Tuesday, 9/24/19, at 1652 hours, Officers were contacted by a business in the 30700 block of 3rd AVE. The business wished to trespass a recently terminated employee, however police were unable to locate the individual to issue him a formal trespass notice.

On 9-24-19, at approximately 2051 hours, Black Diamond Officers took custody of a warrant subject being released from SCORE Jail. The subject had two local warrants and was transported and booked into the Enumclaw Jail.

On 09/25/2019, an officer responded to the area of SE 294th ST/218th PL SE for a suspicious subject walking along the roadway.  The officer contacted a subject who was walking to his family’s residence and is known to officers.  The officer cleared the scene after verifying the subject did not require services.

On 09/25/2019, an officer responded to the 32200 5th Avenue for a missing 2-year-old child. The child was located unharmed in the yard of a neighboring residence. It turned out that the child wandered out the unlocked front door.

On 9/25/2019 an officer was dispatched to a two car motor vehicle accident in the 29200 block of 216th AVE SE. The accident was non-injury, and the officer will complete a WA State Collision Report.

On Thursday, 09/26/2019, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 24300 block of Roberts DR in regard to a report of a fraudulent check. Officers were able to determine that the check that had been presented was likely not authentic, and a report was filed.

On 9/24/2019 an officer received a phone request regarding a civil dispute in the 23300 block of SE 291st Street. The caller said he sold a vehicle to a known subject who was now receiving parking tickets which were coming to the seller because the purchaser had not yet transferred the title into his name. Officers contacted the purchaser who refused to hand over the license plates. This is a civil matter with no further investigation needed.

On 9-27-19, at approximately 0533 hours, Black Diamond Officers viewed a collision involving two vehicles at 3rd AVE/Baker ST. All parties were cleared medically by fire and there were no apparent injuries. Officers interviewed the involved parties and learned Vehicle 1 was turning right from Baker ST onto 3rd AVE when it struck Vehicle 2 which was traveling southbound on 3rd AVE. Both vehicles were removed by way of private tow. Driver 1 was issued an NOI to be served by mail for inattentive driving.

On Friday, 09/27/2019, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 30400 block of 3rd AVE when a Department Of Licensing records check showed the registered owner had a license status of Suspended in the Third Degree. The driver was cited and released at the scene.

On 9/27/19 officers responded to the 23600 block of Tahoma PL for a report of a found bone. Officers consulted with a medical examiner who determined the bone was not human.

On Friday, 09/27/2019, Officers stopped a vehicle in the 29200 block of 218th AVE SE for a speed violation. The driver was arrested for Reckless Driving and the vehicle impounded.

On 09-27-2019, at approximately 2319 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 21800 block of SE Covington Sawyer RD. Upon investigation, officers determined that the driver of the vehicle was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested for DUI and the vehicle was towed. The driver was booked into Enumclaw Jail

On 9/28/19 an officer responded to the 27200 block of 272 AVE SE in Ravensdale to assist the Pacific Police department with locating a suspect. The officer located the suspect and assisted Pacific Police with taking him in to custody.

On 09-29-2019, at about 1756 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 32300 block of Union DR. Upon investigation it was determined that the driver was required to have an ignition interlock device while operating a vehicle, which he did not. When officers attempted to take him into custody, the driver fled the scene in his vehicle. The driver was located a short distance from the scene of the traffic stop. The subject was again resistive when officers took him into custody. It was also determined that the subject was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. He was arrested for a number of charges and booked into Enumclaw Jail.
