Black Diamond Police Reports ~ 2-17 to 2-22, 2020

On 2/17/2020, an officer stopped a vehicle in the 25300 block of Park St. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a suspended license and was required to have an ignition interlock device, which they did not have. The driver was arrested and booked into jail.

On 02/17/2020, Black Diamond Officers conducted a DUI investigation at 23900 Roberts Road. The subject was arrested for DUI and transported to SCORE Jail where she provided BAC samples of her breath. Subject was cited for DUI and was then transported to the Hospital by Paramedics after being Involuntarily committed by Black Diamond Police Officers.

On Monday, 02/17/2020, Officers contacted a vehicle in the 25900 block of SE Green Valley RD. It was determined that there was probable cause to arrest the driver for being in physical control of a vehicle under the influence. The vehicle was impounded and the driver transported to Enumclaw Jail for booking and release. Subsequent investigation developed probable cause for several felony charges that were forwarded to the King County Prosecutor for filing.

On 2/17/2020, at about 1108 hours, officers were dispatched and responded to a business in the 31500 block of 3rd AVE regarding a suspicious vehicle parked in the back of the business. Officers contacted a subject in the vehicle. The subject returned with active warrants. He was arrested and booked into the Pierce Jail without incident.

On 02-18-2020, at approximately 12:46 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication radio regarding a suspicious person. Officers were advised that a female called to report that she saw on her ring doorbell that an Asian male approached her front door and then left. Officers responded to the residence and found an Amazon package on the front porch. The suspicious subject was the subject delivering the Amazon package.

On 02-18-2020, at approximately 13:30 hours, Officers stopped a vehicle at 32600 3rd AVE for a cell phone violation. The driver was issued a criminal citation for driving while license suspended third degree and was later released at the scene.

On 2/18/2020, an officer contacted a subject with a misdemeanor warrant in the 32800 block of 3rd Ave. The subject was arrested for the warrant. During arrest multiple needles were found on the subject and he was charged for possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was booked into jail on his warrants.

On 2/18/2020, an Officer responded to the 23100 block of SE 312 ST for a parking complaint. The reporting party reported a vehicle parked in a no parking area. The officer checked the area but was unable to locate the vehicle.

On 02-20-2020, at approximately 0127 hours, officers responded to the 200 block of Jewell ST to back Enumclaw Police Department on an attempted vehicle prowl. Officers conducted an area check and were unable to locate the suspects. Officers cleared the scene without incident.

On 02-20-2020, at approximately 0313 hours, officers responded to a pursuit of a recently stolen vehicle near Griffin AVE and 244th AVE SE to back Enumclaw Police Department. The vehicle was able to flee to Auburn and Black Diamond Officers cleared the call without incident.

On 02/20/2020, Black Diamond Officers conducted a burglary investigation at the 32700 block of Stuart Ave SE. Investigation revealed that there was no forced entry and a water heater was stolen. No suspects or witnesses.

On 2/20/2020 an officer was dispatched to a welfare check on an elderly female walking in the road who appeared to be lost in the 31000 block of 228th AVE SE. When the officer arrived he found the female walking with a neighbor who had come to assist. While speaking with the female a vehicle pulled up with a family member who had been out looking for her. The female, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, was taken back to her house nearby by her daughter.

On 2/20/20 an officer was dispatched to a blocking motor vehicle accident at SE 288th Street and 216th Avenue SE. The officer requested the Fire Department to the scene to evaluate minor injuries. The at fault driver was cited for failing to yield the right away, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.

On 2/20/2020 officers were dispatched to an unwanted subject refusing to leave a business in the 32600 block of 3rd AVE. The subject was contacted and arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Bellevue Police Department. The subject was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia which he was charged with prior to booking into SCORE Jail on the warrant.

On 02/21/2020, at approximately 0558 hours, Black Diamond Police Officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at Roberts Drive and 3rd Avenue. It was determined that the vehicle was not suspicious but instead the driver had run out of gas.

On 2/21/2020 an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 32800 block of Favro Street for an assist to the Fire Department. The 911 call receiver was having difficulty obtaining information from the caller who was requesting aid for his wife. The officer arrived and found the scene secure for the Fire Department to come in. The patient was treated and transported to the hospital. No criminal activity.

On 2/21/2020, officers responded to the 24600 block of Morgan ST for on an overdose call where CPR was being performed on an unconscious and unresponsive subject. Officers arrived and administered Narcan on the patient. The patient was revived and evaluated by medics. The patient was left in the care of a friend after refusing to be transported to the hospital. No criminal charges pending.

On 2/22/2020 an officer on-viewed a single car motor vehicle accident vs. a tree on the eastbound onramp to Hwy 18 from SE 231st Street in Maple Valley. Witnessed told the officer that a male and a female had walked away from the scene towards Maple Valley Hwy. Washington State Patrol was requested to the scene, and the officer conducted an area check for the two subjects who walked away. The subjects were located on Maple Valley Hwy at Witte Road where they were detained until WSP arrived. Both subjects were obviously intoxicated, but with the absence of a witness to identify the driver, DUI charges were not pursued by the Trooper. Black Diamond cleared the scene with no further involvement.

On 2/22/2020, at about 1027 hours, officers were dispatched to the 32100 block of Railroad AVE on a suspicious vehicle report. Officers contacted a female who was sleeping inside the vehicle. Both the female and vehicle returned clear. The female then left the area without incident.

On Saturday, 02/22/2020, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 32600 block of 3rd AVE in regard to a report of a theft. Surveillance video was obtained and an investigation is ongoing.

On 2-22-2020, at approximately 2253 hours, Black Diamond Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 24300 block of Roberts DR. The driver of the vehicle had a suspended drivers license, he was issued a criminal citation and released from the scene.

On 2-22-2020, at approximately 2354 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to an illegal discharge in the vicinity of Diamond Valley Mobile Home Community. Officers responded to the area and conducted an area check. Nothing was seen or heard and the reporting party did not want contact.

On 2/23/2020, an officer was dispatched and responded to the area of Roberts and Union Dr. for a hit and run collision that occurred sometime during the night. This case is under investigation.
