Black Diamond Police Reports 4-19 to 4-26, 2020

On 4-19-2020, at approximately 2353 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a traffic collision at 216th AVE SE and SE Covington Sawyer RD. Officers arrived on scene and discovered the collision had occurred in the 21500 block of SE Covington Sawyer RD. Officers requested dispatch advise King County Sheriff’s Office the collision had occurred in their jurisdiction. Once King County Deputies arrived on scene Black Diamond Officers cleared the scene.

On 4/20/2020, officers responded to the 33000 block of Abrams Ave for a traffic complaint of dirt bikes riding at a high rate of speed on the roadway. Officers attempted to contact the dirt bike riders and one rider fled from officers. Officers located the rider who fled and he was arrested and cited for failure to stop. The rider was then released on location.

On 4/22/2020 officers responded to the 32500 block of Highland Drive for a verbal domestic dispute between the reporting party and her adult son. The situation was resolved with no crimes being committed.

On 04/22/2020, at approximately 2050 hours, Black Diamond Police Officers responded to a verbal domestic violence in progress call at the 32600 block of 5th Avenue.  Upon arrival, contact was made with the involved parties and it was determined that no crime occurred.

On 04-23-2020, at approximately 10:15 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a check fraud. Officers were informed that a subject wanted to report that someone cashed two checks from his business bank account without permission. Officers contacted the subject over the telephone and obtained all of the information. Copies of the fraudulent bank checks were e-mailed to the Officers and a case number was provided to the victim.

On 04/23/2020, at approximately 1825 hours, Black Diamond Officers responded to verbal domestic violence in progress at the 32100 block of Bruckners Way. Upon arrival, it was determined that the incident was verbal and no crime took place.

On 04–25-2020, at approximately 0146 hours, officers were dispatched to the area of 216th AVE SE and SE 293rd PL for a report of a physical domestic in progress. The caller was not cooperative with call receivers and did not provide her information. She reported being assaulted by her boyfriend and that she had left the residence on foot. Officer attempted to locate the subject but were unable to do so. The caller failed to answer her officer’s phone calls as well. Unable to locate the subject, officers cleared the scene without incident

On Saturday, 04/25/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 24400 block of Terrace PL in regard to a request to locate the registered owner of a vehicle for the Auburn Police Department. Officers were able to determine that the owner no longer lived in Black Diamond.

On Saturday, 04/25/2020, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 29500 block of 235th AVE SE in regard to a report of a vehicle left in a driveway with a door open. Officers contacted the homeowner and were able to determine that the door had been left open accidentally, and that nothing had been taken.

On Sunday, 04/26/2020, Officers received a report of an attempt to steal a motorcycle from a residence in the 32000 block of Morgan DR. The vehicle was located by the owner in the area on the side of Roberts DR.
