Black Diamond Reports from June 15 – 22, 2020

On 6-15-2020, at approximately 1118 hours, Black Diamond Officers conducted VIN inspections on five vehicles at the request of Royal Towing at their lot.

On 6-15-2020, at approximately 1416 hours, Black Diamond Officers were dispatched to a possible DUI traveling southbound on 216th AVE SE. Black Diamond Officers conducted an area check and were unable to locate a vehicle matching the description provided by dispatch.

On 6/16/2020, an officer responded to the 24400 block of Terrace Place for a disabled vehicle. The officer arrived and found the vehicle was blocking the roadway and was waiting for a part to arrive. The officer assisted with getting the vehicle to the side of the roadway so it was no longer blocking.

On 6/16/2020 an officer made a traffic stop due to a violation witnessed in the 22400 block of SE 312 ST. The driver was cited for driving while license suspended, no ignition interlock, and failure to transfer title. The driver was released on scene.

On Tuesday, 06/16/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 28900 block of 229th PL SE in regard to an anonymous report of individuals shooting an air rifle at a raccoon. Officers conducted an area check but were unable to locate anyone in the area.

On 06-17-20, at approximately 07:39 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a suspicious circumstance. Officers were advised that a female was inside her residence and could hear a male and female somewhere outside in the Cedarbrook Mobile Home Park. The male subject yelled, “Why don’t you just shoot me.” Officers called the reporting person who stated that she did not recognize the voices and did not see anyone outside. Officers conducted an area check of the Cedarbrook Mobile Home Park with negative results.

On 6/17/2020 at about 1157 hours, Officers were dispatched to 3rd AVE and Roberts Drive for a blocking disabled vehicle. It was reported that the vehicle had lost a tire. Officers arrived and assisted with traffic control until a new tire was put on. No person or property was injured or damaged during this incident.

On 6/18/2020 at about 1508 hours, an officer was dispatched to a phone report regarding a tree that was cut down in the 32800 block of Glacier Basin Ln, Black Diamond, WA. Currently, there is no suspect information and this case will be inactive.

On Thursday, 06/18/2020, Officers were dispatched to the 34900 block in regard to a report of a possible assault in progress. Officers arrived on scene and detained the individuals involved until the State Patrol could arrive on scene and conduct an investigation.

On Thursday, 06/18/2020, Officers responded to a residence in the 24700 block of Mason St in regard to a large fire observed in the area. Officers assisted fire personnel in locating the fire, which was extinguished.

On Saturday, 06/20/2020 Officers stopped a vehicle in the 30700 block of 3rd AVE for a traffic violation. While being contacted, the driver fled the scene on foot. The driver was taken into custody after falling from a tree where he was attempting to hide from Officers. The subject was transported to a medical facility for evaluation and issued a citation with a court date for the criminal charges.

On 6/20/2020 an officer was dispatched to a single vehicle accident with the vehicle still driving eastbound on Roberts Drive near Main Street. The witness followed the vehicle to a residence on Morgan Street. Contact was made and it was confirmed that the accident occurred in unincorporated King County on SE Auburn Black Diamond Road. The information was passed on to KCSO so they could take the accident report.

On 06/21/2020, at approximately 0210 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department responded to a domestic dispute with a weapon at the 30000 block of 232nd Pl SE. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted resulting in an involuntary commitment.

On 06/20/2020, at approximately 0349 hours, the Black Diamond Police Department responded to a blocking disabled vehicle at the 24600 block of Roberts Dr. Upon responding the area it was found that the vehicle had been removed.

On 6/21/2020 an officer was in the 24600 block of Morgan St when he witnessed a truck leaving a residence. The officer witnessed the truck drive out of the driveway across a lawn and collide with a tree. The driver was arrested for DUI.

On 6/21/2020 an officer was dispatched to a neighbor dispute to be handled by phone that occurred in the 30800 block of 229th AVE SE. Contact was made and it was learned that the dispute was over who has access to Lake Sawyer through a public piece of land. The situation was found to be civil and the dispute was 20 minutes old.

On 06-21-2020, at approximately 2114 hours, officers were dispatched to the 32600 block of Railroad AVE for a welfare check on an uncooperative injured subject. Officers and fire personnel arrived on scene and it was determined that he needed to be transported to the hospital for treatment. Officers cleared the scene without incident.
