Black Diamond Police Reports 9-20 to 9-25, 2021

On 09/20/2021, an Officer responded to the 29000 block of 216th Ave SE reference to a shoplifting. Contact was made with the complainant who advised that he did not wish to pursue criminal charges

On 9/20/2021 a subject entered the Black Diamond Police Department lobby and surrendered his concealed weapons permit as part of the terms of his extreme risk protection order. The CPL was entered into evidence for safekeeping.

On 09/20/2021, officers were dispatched to a barking dog complaint near the 29000 block of 220th PL SE. Upon arrival, officers were unable to located an owner, but got the dog to quiet down. Officers cleared the call without incident.

On 09/20/2021, officers responded to the 29000 block of 220th PL SE regarding an animal complaint that turned into a welfare check. It was reported that the back door of the residence was ajar and a dog was out and barking. Upon arrival, officers were able to make contact with the homeowner and found her to not be in need of assistance. The dog was secured and officers cleared the call without incident.

On 09/21/2021, officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle near the 24400 block of Terrace PL. It was reported that a subject had parked their vehicle in that area and walked toward the cemetery. The reporting party suspected that the subject had spray paint. Upon arrival, officers located an adult with three juveniles. None of them had spray paint and no vandalism was seen. The subjects left and officers cleared the call without incident.

On 9/25/2021, officers responded to the 31400 block of 3rd Ave for a report of dogs locked in two separate vehicles. The windows were cracked but the cars were in direct sunlight. The interior temperature of the cars reached over 100 degrees before officers were able to get the cars open and free the dogs. Both vehicle owners were criminally cited for animal cruelty.
