Black Diamond Police Reports

On 9/5/2022, officers responded to the 31100 block of 3rd Ave for a domestic disturbance. Officers contacted the involved parties and attempted to mediate the issues. The involved parties were unwilling to compromise and come to a resolution. The officers provided resources for the involved parties to follow up and find additional help for their problems.

On 09-05-22, at approximately 11:30 hours, Officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision at Baker ST and 2nd AVE. Officers arrived and found that a male subject who was driving a pickup truck did not see a female subject walking across 2nd AVE in a marked crosswalk.  The driver began to turn west onto Baker ST and struck the female, causing her to fall to the ground and hit the back of her head. The female was not transported to the hospital.

On 09/09/2022 Officers responded to the 20400 block of SE Auburn Black Diamond RD in regard to an assist to the King County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies were out with a non-compliant DUI suspect and Black Diamond Officers assisted with closing the road to oncoming traffic.

On 9/9/2022, A citizen came to the police department to speak with an officer. He had been involved in a verbal altercation with his neighbor because his neighbor thought he had flipped him off. The neighbor made statements about wanting to fight and the reporting party refused to do so and came to the police department. Officers spoke with both individuals involved and they agreed to leave each other alone. Officers also provided the reporting party with information on how to obtain an order, if needed.

On 9/11/2022, Officers were dispatched to a physical domestic in progress in the 31100 block of 3rd AVE. Officers made contact with the reporting party and involved subjects. Officers learned no assault had occurred and it was verbal only. Officers provided a domestic violence resource guide and cleared the scene.

On 9/11/2022 An Officer was dispatched to a report of a juvenile problem in the 22900 block of SE Evergreen St. The frequent anonymous caller stated that 3-4 juveniles were being loud and a nuisance to neighbors in a nearby park. The Officer happened to have just arrived at the park a few moments before the call came out, doing a routine patrol. The Officer immediately advised dispatch that small children were pleasantly playing 4 square and the complaint was false. The Officer also activated the the body worn camera to document that the families and children in the park were all very mild mannered, were in the designated park areas during appropriate park hours and the call was then closed as unfounded.
